What it is

Well, this here's a drinking tankard that's got the Magic: The Gathering five-color wheel painted right on it. It's made of resin with some stainless steel mixed in, holds about 750 milliliters of whatever you want to drink, and comes in grey. Now, I had to ask Atticus what resin was, and he explained it's like a hard plastic that can be molded into shapes - not as fancy as real metal, but it won't rust or dent easy either. The color wheel's got all those Magic symbols on it that the card players are always talking about - red, blue, white, black, and green. It's officially licensed too, which means the Magic folks said it was okay to make.

A gift shoppers-focused use case

If you're looking to buy something for someone who plays Magic: The Gathering and likes to drink things that aren't just water, this tankard might do the trick. I reckon it'd work fine for birthdays or Christmas, especially if they're the type who has game nights with friends. They could use it for root beer, milk, or whatever grown-ups drink while they're playing cards. Course, you'd want to make sure they actually like Magic first - giving this to someone who doesn't play would be like giving me a book about sewing when I'd rather climb trees. And since it's got all those symbols on it, it shows you paid attention to what they like, which Aunt Alexandra says is important in gift-giving.

Is it worth it?

That depends on what you're expecting, I suppose. If you want something that'll hold your drink and show off that you like Magic: The Gathering, then yes, it'll do that just fine. The resin means it won't break if you accidentally knock it over during a card game, and 750 milliliters is plenty for most folks. But if you're thinking this is some kind of fancy collectible that'll be worth a fortune someday, you might want to think twice. It's resin, not precious metal, and there's probably going to be plenty of them made. Also, hand-washing only, I'd bet, since most resin things don't like dishwashers much. For what it is - a sturdy drinking cup with Magic decorations - it seems honest enough, though I can't say if the price is fair since nobody told me what it costs.
