One Piece Hoodie for Boys, Teens, 9-16 Years, Fleece Sweatshirt, Sherpa Hooded Jacket, Zip Up Hoodie, Anime Gifts for Bo — for gift shoppers

What it is

Well, this here's a One Piece hoodie made for boys between 9 and 16 years old, though I reckon some folks might not know that One Piece is that Japanese cartoon about pirates and not talking about underwear. It's got fleece on the inside and what they call 'sherpa' lining, which is just fancy talk for fuzzy stuff that keeps you warm. The hoodie zips up the front, so you don't have to wrestle it over your head like some sweaters that mess up your hair something fierce. Now, I can't tell you exactly what it looks like design-wise since they didn't give me those particulars, but I'd bet my allowance it's got some of those anime characters on it that the older kids are always going on about.

For the gift-giving grown-ups

If you're hunting for a present for a boy who's always talking about pirates and adventures on the high seas - the cartoon kind, not the real plank-walking sort - this might just fit the bill. It's the kind of thing that makes a kid feel like they're part of something bigger, like wearing their favorite story. Course, you'd better make sure the young'un actually watches One Piece, because giving anime gear to a child who doesn't know Luffy from a lamp post would be like giving me a chemistry set when all I want to do is climb trees. The age range is pretty generous though, so it ought to fit most boys in that in-between stage where they're too old for some things and too young for others.

Is it worth it?

Now here's the honest truth - I can't rightly tell you if it's worth your hard-earned money because they didn't see fit to mention the price, and that seems mighty important to me. What I can say is that fleece with sherpa lining sounds warm enough for most weather that isn't fixing to freeze your ears off. The trouble is, I don't know about the quality of the stitching or whether it'll hold up to the kind of rough-and-tumble that boys that age get into. Amazon's got all sorts of things, some good as gold and others that fall apart faster than a house of cards in a windstorm. My advice? Check what other folks who bought it have to say, and make sure you can send it back if it turns out to be more disappointing than finding out there's no dessert after dinner.
